Tonight is the second to the last episode of HBO’s The Newsroom. Check the report below to see what is store for newly married / jailed Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) and the rest of gang.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Newsroom, titled “Oh Shenandoah,” reads:
“Will's jailed for contempt, but still won't give up the name of Neal's government source; Charlie goes along with Pruit's order to cater to younger viewers by sending Don to investigate a sexual-abuse case at an elite college; Sloan objects to a new digital site; Jim and Maggie are stranded in a Russian airport, but try to book seats on a plane bound for Cuba so they can interview a noteworthy passenger.”
On of the staples of any Aaron Sorkin show has to be the fast paced dialogue. Recently, Olivia Munn spoke with Rolling Stone about how to handle the fast paced of the series:
“I think the trick is, you go through the entire script first and find the overarching theme. I've usually got a lot of financial jargon to say, or I've got to explain some wonky factual things -- why they matter and are important -- and do it in a way that's still emotional. So once I go through everything a few times and I know exactly why I'm saying what I'm saying, I can memorize it. If I know I'm saying something I understand and can make it come from my heart, then it's very easy to speak about.”
Check out the second to last episode of The Newsroom, tonight at 9:00 p.m eastern on HBO.
