Brock "The Beast" Lesner hasn't been seen since he was disqualified during his title match against John Cena. Now, the time is almost upon us. Brock is coming back to the WWE. Though his return to Monday Raw has been postponed, some reports point out the significant financial benefits his return will have for the WWE.
The 37 year-old behemoth started his wrestling career at The University of Minnesota. Later on he even gave a shot at a career in the NFL (though he was cut from the Vikings by the end of the pre-season).
Nevertheless, Brock's home is with the WWE.
True, Brock's run with the UFC was respectable. While there, he became the only athlete to become a Champion in both the UFC and the WWE. However, he always seems to come home to the WWE in the end.
We were all expecting to see Lesnar back within the week. The WWE commission clearly has a way of building suspension, though, because according to Cage Side Seats, his return has been pushed back to December the 15th:
"Not long ago, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was scheduled to make his return to television on the Dec. 8, 2014, episode of Monday Night Raw... It now looks like WWE... pushed his return back a week to the Dec. 15 episode... Which means he'll show up just as John Cena will have either lost his status as number one contender or solidified it."
A lot of us can sense a rematch between Cena and Lesner close around the corner. After the confusing results of their previous match-up, it seems only fair.
Earlier in the year, Give Me Sport pointed out that regardless of what happens, the WWE are going to be the true winners in the end:
"With a no-show until December [means] Lesnar will have been out of action for four months it would certainly be huge rating boost as the WWE looks to end the year in good financial health."
I don't know about the rest of you WWE fans out there, but I'm tired of waiting. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
