Fans of Disney’s Frozen won't have to “Let it Go,” anytime soon. Recently, Elsa Idina Menzel confirmed that a Frozen sequel and Broadway show were “in the works." Menzel expressed an in reprising her role in the new film, but not the stage show. Kristen Bell has also expressed an interest in reprising her role as Anna.
Recently, Idina Menzel opened up to The Telegraph about her future with the Frozen franchise:
"Not the stage show -- I don't know what will happen with that -- but the movie, hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."
Menzel went on to discuss what made Frozen stick out from other
“It’s women depending on each other; it’s a bond between them, not with a man. So often they pit us against each other, two powerful women. So it’s hard for people to believe that those two women would love and support each other. It’s easier to play the angle of them not liking each other.”
Earlier in the year Kristen Bell spoke to E! Online: about the possibility of reprising her role as Anna on the TV series, Once Upon A Time:
“That would be unbelievable. I love that character of Anna so much. She is exactly who I wanted to see when I was five years old. She is really close to my heart.”
Ultimately the role of Anna went to Elizabeth Lail, but it is not a stretch to think Bell would be willing to reprise her role in the new film.
