For Beyonce and Jay Z, rumors are always flying. Though recent claims suggest that Beyonce is pregnant with the couple's second child, most of the buzz consists of rumors that Jay Z cheated on his wife, and that Jay and Bey are headed towards divorce as a result. Though, these latest claims, which followed Jay Z being assaulted by Solange Knowles in a now epic elevator fight, appear to have boosted the couple's popularity.
They say that there is no such thing as bad press, and Jay Z and Beyonce may have proven this.
Hip-hop's golden couple have been under a microscope ever since Solange Knowles brutally attacked Jay Z in a Met elevator, and it now seems to be paying off.
This year Jay Z ranked in the top five of Ask.com's yearly Top Searches list. Hova clocked in at an impressive number three on the list, which, as Ask.com reveals, is compiled on a number of factors:
"Ask.com, the leading online brand for questions and answers, today released the top trending search terms for 2014 associated with celebrities, news and politics. The analysis is based on search data and question volume from more than 100 million monthly US users."
Of course, that's not the only reason that Jay Z finds himself making headlines.
The rapping mogul also made news for meeting with Rihanna. This has led many to speculate that the two could be working on another project together.
According to Mail Online, meeting Jay Z was among the first things Rihanna did when returning to America:
"[Rihanna] returned to the States after a quick trip to her native country on Monday...And Rihanna was seen arriving at the Roc Nation Headquarters for a business meeting with her mentor Jay Z and manager Jay Brown in Manhattan, New York, within mere hours of her return from the sunshine island."
What do you think about the latest claims? Are Rihanna and Jay Z working on a joint collaboration? Did all of those divorce rumors help boost Jay Z's online presence?
