ABC Nathan Fillion ‘Castle’ New Episode Spoilers: Beckett Stana Katic Talks Season 8 Renewal or Cancellation Options After Wedding

Tonight, the hit ABC drama Castle is all new. In recent weeks, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) have gotten married. Now with the knot tied, many fans are wondering where the show will go next. With the stars contracts up for renewal it is unsure if the show will be canceled or picked back up. Check out what Stana Katic had to say about the possibility of renewal and tonight’s new episode plot preview below.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Castle, titled “Kill Switch,” reads:

“Subway riders are taken hostage by a man with a gun, and Esposito is one of the unlucky passengers.”

Be sure to check out the all new episode of Castle tonight at 10:00 p.m. eastern on ABC.

There might not be too many new episodes of Castle left. Both Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s contracts are reportedly up at the end of the season, leaving many to wonder if the show will be renewed.

Stana Katic recently sat down with TV Line where she opened up about the possible renewal:

“Well, I think it really depends on…. I don’t think that a show should overstay its welcome….If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it’s better to stop when you’re on top, because I admire the way that they did that with The Wire, you know? Tell a great story and then go home and move onto something else. Don’t milk it ‘just because.’ So for me it’s about art over finance, and as long as we’re creating something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we’re good to go. And when we find that we’re not, when we don’t have anywhere else to go, then it’s time for everyone to pack up and move onto the next thing. But I don’t know where it’s going to end.”
