Castle is getting married! That is right, it is confirmed that, Nathan Fillion’s (Firefly, Doctor Horrible) character, Castle will be tying the knot with Stana Katic’s Beckett will make their way down the aisle. However, just not this week. This week’s episode takes a little detour into the world of fringe science as Castle gets traped in an alternate universe. Check out the plot preview and promo below.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled "The Time of Our Lives," reads:
“Castle's thrown into an alternate universe during a murder investigation, and Beckett, Esposito and Ryan view him as a stranger in this world, so he must persuade them to let him assist them. Afterward, Castle finds the experience very inspiring.”
Last season ended with Castle getting abducted on the way to his wedding. However, don’t think that is going to stop Beckett and Castle from tying the knot, as executive producer David Amann told TV Guide:
"Yes, yes it is going to happen….”
However, don’t expect that this week, as Castle is pretty busy trapped in an alternate universe, as Amann adds:
"This is an episode that we had talked internally about for a period of time. We've always been looking for the right version of the story and the right reason to tell it, and we think we found it this time. Castle is experiencing a version of his life had he not met Beckett, and it's considerably less rich. There's a lot of fun with him trying to make sense of this world that he's in, trying to figure out a way out of it. ... But at the end of the day, there's a realization that he really wants to move forward, and he wants to do it now."
