If Evan Peter’s character in American Horror Story: Murder House (Season 1) didn’t make him look enough like Kurt Cobain, than tonight’s episode of Freak Show will do the trick. Tonight the X Men: Days of Future Past, Quicksilver, actor will cover Nirvana’s”Come as You Are.” Add to the list of list of Jessica Lange covers ( David Bowie’s “Life on Mars” and Lana Del Rey’s “Gods and Monsters.”) with Sarah Paulson’s version of Fiona Apple’s “Criminal” and you have one hell of a soundtrack. What else do you expect from the man who created Glee?
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Test of Strength,” reads:
“The women rally against Dell. Meanwhile, Jimmy has a strange encounter with Dandy.”
Tonight’s episode features X-Men Quiksilver actor Evan Peters, covering Nirvana's “Come as You Are.”
This is just one more anachronistic cover song to add to Jessica’s Lange’s covers of David Bowie’s “Life on Mars” and Lana Del Rey’s “Gods and Monsters.” Lets not forget Sarah Paulson's cover of Fiona Apple's’ “Criminal.”
Ryan Murphy recently told Entertainment Weekly about how the decided what songs to put into the show:
“We decided we only were going to highlight musical artists who at some point in their career had identified themselves as feeling like freaks or misfits or outcasts, which our people are going through.”
Entertainment Weekly is also reporting that The Bearded Lady, actress, and film & TV legend, Kathy Bates will perform a cover Hole’s “Doll Parts.”
