‘Walking Dead’ Creator Robert Kirkman Confirms Rick Grimes Not In Coma: Series Ending Different ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Still in Asylum Theory [SPOILERS]

Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer have can go on for years about whether or not Buffy is still in an Asylum or not, Walking Dead fans will not have the same fate. The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman was recently called out to go on the record and confirm that the show is not really Rick’s coma dream, you know because the spin-off didn’t give that way.

Recently, Uproxx combed through some Comic Vine fan theories, predicting that The Walking Dead will end in with Rick Grimes still in coma, and called upon Robert Kirkman to say it ain't so.

That is exactly what Robert Kirkman did, tweeting a link to the article, along with an on the record promise, writing:

“Going on record to answer this: https://uproxx.com/tv/2014/10/robert-kirkman-needs-to-go-on-the-record-promising-the-walking-dead-wont-end-as-rick-grimes-coma-dream/ … Rick is NOT still in a coma. The events of TWD are definitely happening.”

Now we know that the writing on The Walking Dead (show not comic) can get pretty at times, but the fan theory was way too hacky to take seriously.

However, not only did Kirkman graciously answer this half-baked fan theory, but he also played along with, adding:

“But Carl and everyone else are all imagined. He actually NEVER found his family. He's been crazy since he killed his first zombie. #joking?”

What do you think about Robert Kirkman’s comments. Let us know your thoughts on how the series end? Let us know your theories, half baked or not, in the comments section below. Who knows maybe will get Robert Kirkman to address some of them….Yeah, we probably won’t be doing any of that.
