It is Halloween, and that means that the ghost, goblins and demons are going to be running wild tonight, as well a few Frozen Elsa’s and maybe some lil Captain Americas. Don’t worry The Hellblazer is here to send them all back to that firepit where they belong. NBC’s new adaptation of the DC / Vertigo comic, Constantine. Check out the plot preview below to see what is store for everyone’s new favorite chain smoking exorcist, played by Matt Ryan. Who knows, maybe the Hellblazer will be able to blaze the trail for more Justice League Dark members on the small screen. However, don’t expect that The CW’s Arrow or The Flash to crossover.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled "The Darkness Beneath," reads:
“An ancient Welsh spirit torments a small mining town in Western Pennsylvania, where John makes a powerful new ally in a mysterious young woman named Zed.”
During the recent NYC Comiccon, series creator David Goyer (yeah, the man who made Superman a murderer) spoke to the crown about weather or not Constantine will crossover other DC shows, like The Flash and Arrow (via Forbes):
“Even though they’re Warner Bros. shows, we’re all on different networks. So we’re in a different corner of the universe, we’re in the occult universe, so there are some other DC occult characters that are showing up in the first season, not just characters from Hellblazer. We’ve announced Jim Corrigan who ultimately becomes The Spectre, he shows up, and Felix Faust, he shows up later on.”
Check out the all new episode of Constantine, tonight at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.
