Adrien Can Man Broner Suspension Lifted: Former Champ Reinstated After Apology

Adrien "The Can Man" Broner is free to box in Las Vegas again since his suspension for making racist remarks during a post-match interview has been lifted. The former champ apologized last month for his tirade, although in truth, Broner had made the same speech before a number of times. He probably caught heat for it last time because the world was ablaze with the Donald Sterling controversy. But it's all water under the bridge now, and Broner can get back to practicing his Floyd Mayweather impersonation in the mirror.

Broner's half-baked apology was lackluster at best. But then again, so was his suspension, which carried no weight. But the proper motions were made and the media gods were appeased and the world keeps turning (via Bad Left Hook):

"I didn't mean any harm, it was more entertainment. If I hurt anybody with what I said, I'm sorry. I'll be sure it doesn't happen again.

"I still want to entertain when I perform in the ring. But I need to be more aware of the things I say from now on... What's in the past is in the past. I'm moving forward and hopefully I'll be back in Las Vegas to fight again in the near future."

The WBC seemed satisfied with the song and dance, so he's off the hook now (via Sports World News):

"The suspension which was in place has been lifted... Mr. Broner, a former WBC lightweight champion, is expected to understand his role in society while being a public figure and as a former champion, represent the organization which believes in human equality, fair play and has an ongoing campaign against bullying."

Now all Broner needs to do is learn how to drive a moped and most of his troubles will be gone!
