The new show Rush, stars Tom Ellis (Dr. Who and Once Upon A Time) and airs Thursdays on the network. Check out the report below to learn how the shows differ.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Electric Youth,” reads:
“Hank and Divya treat a house-sitter in the Hamptons while Jeremiah grows closer to Viviana after helping her burlesque dancing friend. Elsewhere, Paige discovers something that could complicate her new business with Russel, and Emma contributes to the Hamptons' hottest gossip site.”
USA is now has a grown up version of Royal Pains that premiered last Thursday, called Rush. The new series stars Tom Ellis, and is much darker in nature than most other USA series.
Tom Ellis plays Dr. William P. Rush, a dark drug using doctor with secret clential. Recently Ellis spoke to TV Guide about his character, telling the publication:
"This guy likes to live vicariously through himself. He enjoys the taking of the drugs, he enjoys the multiple women, he enjoys the finer things in life. At the heart of it all, this is a guy who has made decisions to be the person he is and live the life that he has, but he's still a good guy. He's just made some, or continues to make, bad choices…He's a flawed character, but not because he takes drugs. He's flawed and he takes drugs."
Royal Pains airs tonight on USA at 9:00 p.m. Rush airs Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. on USA.
