Glee creator Ryan Murphy’s new movie HBO The Normal Heart is receiving a lot of love, and a few Emmy nods. Murphey is sharing that love with the movies cast , White Collar star, Matt Bomer, and Avengers Hulk Mark Ruffalo, who have both received Emmy nominations alongside Julia Roberts. Murphy has taken to Twitter to sing the praises of his two leading men. Meanwhile, his hit FX series American Horror Story has also been been honored with an nomination, ushering in a new area for the anthology series.

“I am really overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for The Normal Heart. I am so thankful and emotional about it.”
Ryan Murphy is also the man behind the hit FX series American Horror Story.
Murphy recently spoke to The L.A. Times about what this years Emmy nods mean for anthology shows like A.H.S.:
"I think particularly this year, really--between ‘Horror Story’ and ‘Fargo’ and how well ‘True Detective’ did--I think it really is about the rise of anthological television shows. I think that people like that format. I think people like a beginning, middle and end. I think it’s a fun way to watch. With binge-viewing really taking off in our society, I think it’s the perfect sort of storytelling for the culture we live in now. We see that reflected on all those nominations, people like it. And I think we'll be seeing more of it."
