WWE Battleground Recap Part 1: Fandango Vs. Adam Rose Funkadactyls Get Funky

Last night's Pay-Per-View WWE Battleground was a solid night of rasslin', and some pretty good storytelling, too. As always, no PPV event is perfect, but it was a solid step toward SummerSlam next month. The pre-show "kickoff" featured two matches and a wealth of video segments and predictions from announcers and analysts, per usual, but it was definitely worth tuning in early because Adam Rose showed up with his Exotic Express, on his birthday no less! He squared off against Fandango, who has been having all manner of women troubles. Also, in the Divas division, former Funkadactyls partners Cameron and Naomi finally faced each other after their nasty split a few weeks ago. And they got funky!

Fandango and Adam Rose got things started on the pre-show. Obviously, being an undercard match, they didn't have much time, but it was actually a decent match.

Fandango, who was recently dumped by Layla and Summer Rae, was distracted throughout the match, as they came out with Adam Rose and the Exotic Express. Rose, the birthday boy, took advantage quickly and hit Fandango with the Party Foul for a pinfall.

After a few highlight packages and self-aggrandizing and relentless promotion of the WWE Network, Cameron and Naomi paid off their building feud with a short, but surprising match.

Cameron and Naomi are both still green, but they're going to get really good. The sad part is, none of the announcers take women's wrestling seriously enough to call it straight. All they could talk about during the match (aside from the usual, creepy ogling that goes along with women's wrestling) was the damn WWE Network. Newsflash JBL: if we're watching the pre-show, we have most likely already subscribed.

Anyway, Cameron walked away with a clean(ish) finish- though she had a hand full of tights, she got a solid roll-up and a slow 3-count.

And get the dang WWE Network already so Michael Cole will shut up about it?!
