It has all but been officially confirmed that Wolf of Wall Street's Jonah Hill will be joining O' Brother Where Art Thou alum George Clooney and bi-sexual Magic Mike stripper Channing Tatum for brothers Ethan and Joel Coen's new movie, Hail, Caesar! According to tabloid gossip news updates Hill's 22 Jump Street co-star is thinking of firing Alex Pettyfer from his Magic Mike XXL sequel. So, if Jonah plays his cards right, perhaps he can land a role in that big-budget blockbuster as well.
You might not have guessed it when you first saw Jonah Hill in I Heart Huckabee's that he would go on to work with all of Hollywood's top talent, but the 29-year-old actor seems to be unstable these days.
In addition to working with Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese, word has it that Hill is a hare's breath away from landing a role on the legendary Coen Brothers next flick.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that the man how mad his name with Superbad is going to be staring alongside George Clooney in the up-and-coming Hail, Caesar!:
"Jonah Hill is in negotiations to join the all-star cast of Hail, Caesar!, the Hollywood-set period comedy being made by Joel and Ethan Coen.
"Caesar tells the comedic tale of Eddie Mannix, a fixer who worked for the Hollywood studios in the 1950s, and has a roll call that includes George Clooney, Josh Brolin, Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton.
"Scarlett Johansson is in early talks to join the production as well."
So there will be plenty of pretty faces to look at if nothing else.
In related news, Channing Tatum is said to be having second thought about hiring Alex Pettyfer to reprise his role in Magic Mike for the long-awaited sequel.
An insider who spoke with OK! Magazine claims that Alex should have been nicer the first go around if he was looking to get invited back to the party:
"Alex Pettyfer is begging actor/producer/writer Channing Tatum to give him a role in the Magic Mike sequel; but given their past, things aren't looking good.
"The pair fought like buff, well-oiled cats and dogs on the original set, and sources say Alex, 24, is the only original star not yet signed up for the new film.
"Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence...It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."
Yeah...or if Channing could somehow talk Scarlett Johansson into joining the scantily clad crew that would be fine too.
