SPOILER ALERT: Tonight the all new HBO series The Leftovers is all new. Last week the new rapture series focused on the preacher Matt Jamison, played by Heroes and Thor 2: The Dark World actor Christopher Eccleston. Check out the preview of tonight’s episode below.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “B.J. and the A.C.,” (Seriously, what is up with these names) reads:
“Kevin has unexpected visitors at home, while work brings more surprises with a holiday display snafu and a detainee from another police station. Elsewhere, Tom and Christine encounter more trouble on the road and at a hospital.”
Last week episode’s focused on Christopher Eccleston ‘s character Matt Jamison, who is only a small part of the books.
Recently Christopher Eccleston spoke to Rolling Stone about Jamison:
“He's far less developed in the book than he is in the series, and I think Tom would be okay with me saying that. I do like the Bosch comparison--there's certainly a lot of writhing and gnashing of teeth in Matt. But I was surprised by how much the character had made on me even as a peripheral presence. When I eventually talked to [showrunner] Damon Lindelof about the part…it seemed pretty obvious to me that a man of God, one who's been left behind in something akin to a Biblical rapture, that there would be a lot of dramatic potential there. He's been woven into the ensemble quite nicely.”
Check out the all new episode of The Leftovers tonight at 10:00 p.m. on HBO after an all new True Blood.
