Word has it that after her husband Apollo Nida's embarrassing conviction for fraud and subsequent 8-year prison sentence that Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Phaedra Parks may quit the show. According to the latest tabloid gossip news Parks is going to divorce the convicted felon just as soon as he goes to prison regardless of her future on the reality TV show. Spoliers: former Dancing with the Stars contestant, NeNe Leakes, doesn't know how best to support her friend during this difficult time, but told Andy Cohen that she really feels bad for Phaedra and even the dastardly Nida--even if she knows she shouldn't.
Apparently this whole public trial and conviction of her husband, Apollo Nida, mayh be too much for Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra parks to take.
According to an insider who spoke to Life and Style Magazine for the July 28 edition, Phaedra might have to walk away from the show in order to save what little face she has left:
"It wouldn't be surprising if she quit...Phaedra is all about image and won't want to have this part of her life play out on national TV.
"But from the producers' point of view, this would be ratings gold...this is the kind of drama [they] are looking for.
"So they'll do their best to convince Phaedra to stay on."
An insider told In Touch Weekly for their most recent edition that Phaedra has no intentions to stay married to Nida for much longer:
"She wants to leave him.
"If they never started a family, she would have filed for divorce long ago.
"But this is going to push Phaedra to act quickly."
During a recent visit to Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, NeNe Leakes explained that she still feels for Phaedra and Apollo--even if he did steal $2.3 million of other people's hard-earned money (via Hollywood Life):
"That's kind of uncomfortable. I don't know how to like... 'Hey, Phaedra, so, Apollo got... how many years, girl?'
"Like, that's so not a conversation. So we didn't talk about that. I feel bad for her."
