‘Doctor Who’ Christopher Eccleston Talks Marvel ‘Thor’ Malekith and ‘Heroes Reborn’ Return after HBO ‘Leftovers’ Role

Dr. Who number 9 Christopher Eccleston is everywhere these days. When he is not terrorizing Asgard as Malekith in Marvel’s Thor 2: The Dark World, but he has also managed to survive the rapture in The Leftovers. However, its the one role that you want see him in that is considering taking. Eccleston recently spoke up about possible returning for the Heroes Reborn reboot.

Eccleson is know for many roles including the main villain in Thor 2: The Dark World. He recently spoke to MTV about a possible return to Asgard (Via HitFix):

“I don’t think I’d like to revisit six hours of makeup every day. And I think Malekith has served his time. The way of the Marvel films, the Thor films, they have a new villain every time.”

However, he is also known for a role that required a lot less makeup. Eccleston played the invisible man on the NBC series, Heroes. He also spoke about possible returning for the upcoming Heroes reboot, reprising his role as Claude Rains:

“I had a great time on that show/ I’d always be interested. That was a great character. I love that guy.”

However, Eccleston backtracked a little in an interview with Vulture, adding:

“I’ve not been approached. To be honest, I was just on the red carpet for our premiere and someone popped the question. Of course, I was positive about it. I wish them all the very best with their venture. I had a very good time. If they approached me I’d certainly listen to them. I don’t know that they’re going to need that character, but if they asked me, I’d certainly be interested.”
