After Paul Pierce Leaves Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Garnett Sued By Malibu Neighbor

Kevin Garnett will likely re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets and play one final season there, even though his buddy Paul Pierce left for the Wizards. It would be Garnett's 20th season in the NBA. While we wait to find out Garnett's official decision, there will be another decision to deal with later: his neighbor is suing him for obstructing his ocean view. Garnett is allegedly illegally remodeling his Malibu home, and his neighbor claims that he has lost his precious ocean view due to construction and failure to properly landscape.

Even though it's not official all parties intimate that Garnett will be back with the Nets for at least one more season. His production is down in recent years and he obviously passed his prime years ago but he still has a lot to offer a club as a wise veteran (via ESPN):

"He has yet to publicly announce that he's playing this season, but all indications continue to point that way. On Saturday, a league source told ESPNNewYork.com that the Nets still expect Garnett to return.

Pierce and Garnett had been teammates since 2007-08. They won a championship together with the Boston Celtics."

Garnett's neighbor says the veteran power forward didn't want to spend the extra money on permits for outside renovations, so Garnett fibbed a little about the nature of his work (via TMZ):

"In fact, the neighbor says KG lied to the City of Malibu by saying the whole thing was just a simple interior remodeling job -- when he was really adding-on to the home -- in an effort to cut through the red tape that comes with trying to get permits for expansion work.

"There's more ... the neighbor also says Garnett has REFUSED to 'trim, prune and lace trees and foliage' that also block his view of the Pacific."
