SPOILER ALERT: True Blood is cleaning house during it’s seventh season. With death after death already taking place, fans finally got a break from the doom and gloom when Arlene didn’t die last week. Now Arlene actress Carrie Preston ( Also seen on The Following) is opening up about her near death, the return of Terry (Todd Lowe) and the new vamp Keith (Life of Riley Riley Smith).
Fresh off of Arlene’s death bed, Carrie Preston opened up to Entertainment Weekly about her return from the brink on last week’s True Blood:
“I was most surprised and excited about Terry coming back, because obviously I love Todd [Lowe]. We’ve kept up, but it’s not the same as having him on set. I also thought the episode does a great job of giving Arlene this major obstacle: What makes her want to come back? Because Arlene dies, we definitely decided that--it wasn’t like she was on the brink of death, she actually goes. It’s Terry who encourages her to go back.”
Arlene might have a new love interest soon, at least in Hep-V infected dreams. Arlene was brought back from brink with a little help from the newly introduced (clean) vamp, Keith (Riley Smith). Preston went on to open up about the new vamp in town:
“I thought, ‘Okay, you don’t introduce an entire new vampire without having some kind of follow-up.’ I was curious what that was going to be, and I hope that the fans will remain curious. Riley is sweet, and he jumped right in.”
