Nothing about the cast on next year's season of The View will be the same if Whoopi Goldberg is rumored to get her way. According to the latest gossip news update the comedienne hates being stuck on the program almost as much as Sherri Shepherd hatred to get fired from it. Apparently, Shepherd sure could use the money for upcoming divorce battle. Word has it she has flatly rejected custody of her un-born baby with soon-to-be ex-husband Lamar Sally--claiming he tricked her into the whole endeavor. America's favorite vaccine-hating nude Playboy playmate claimsby Twitter that she was intending to take her topless antic elsewhere after ABC let Sherri go. The truth according to some insiders is she was fired and lied about quitting on Twitter to save face. So you see, it may be just Rosie out there all alone when the show returns from mid-season hiatus. God let's hope that the producers really do intend hire Chelsea Handler show staple Ross Mathews as has been previously reported.
Word has it that producers of ABC's The View made Rosie O'Donnel an offer that she just couldn't refuse.
According to a friend of the former talk show host who spoke to Life & Style magazine for their July 21, print edition, O'Donnell just couldn't pass on the deal--regardless of her past with the show:
"They offered Rosie a boatload of money to come back...It's perfect for her, because she only has to work four days a week."
For her part, Whoopi Goldberg is tired of all the non-sense and back biting surrounding the show and its cast shakeup.
Goldberg let it be known that this isn't some sort of cutesy mud-wrestling contest for the people's entertainment (via Huffington Post):
"We don't know who's coming in!
"I will do my best to respect the audience, to make sure that we bring you The View that Barbara Walters wanted you to have, which is women talking about issues.
'We are not little kids...We are grown-ass women.
"Quit trying to make me into something I'm not!
"I'm not a little girl with cat claws. I'm not a cat. I'm a human being. I'm a girl with a fist!"
Jenny McCarthy is also leaving the show along with Sherri Shepherd a coincidence that Jenny tried to convince people of Twitter was a move if solidarity in support of Sherri:
"Jenny never would have quit that job.
"She loved it!
"Jenny feely she got screwed over."
Now that Shepherd's job went the same way as her marriage, there are reports that she is trying to divorce her un-born baby right along with her husband (via TMZ):
"Sherri Shepherd does not want anything to do with her unborn surrogate baby...because she believes her estranged husband defrauded her into having the kid in the first place so he could get child support...this according to multiple sources connected with the couple.
"The baby was conceived with Lamar's sperm, but NOT Sherri's egg...Sherri wants a judge to rule she has no parental rights or responsibilities--which would shut the door to child support."
It's starting to make more and more sense why Whoopi would be more than happy to leave this peer group.
