He is also currently suing Wal-Mart for the crash that injured him and killed his friend James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.In other news, FX recently released a statement confirming that will not cancel his upcoming Always Sunny created show.
After spending over a month in the hospital Tracy Morgan has made his first public speech to reporters who drove past him, telling them:
“I’m OK, I feel strong. Love you, thank you very much. Appreciate it.”
Morgan was walking with the aid of an walker, but otherwise looks healthy.
Morgan is currently suing Wal-Mart for the crash that killed his friend, James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.The claim that has failed reportedly states:
"As a result of Wal-Mart's gross, reckless, willful, wanton, and intentional conduct, it should be appropriately punished with the imposition of punitive damages."
Wal-Mart had previously stated that they would take responsibility if their driver was found at fault, with CEO Bill Simon releasing a statement:
"We are working quickly to understand what happened and are cooperating fully with law enforcement to aid their investigation. The facts are continuing to unfold. If it's determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility."
Meanwhile, it looks like Morgan’s FXX TV show will be waiting on him. FX Networks released a statement about the series, writing:
“The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident. We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him.
