CW ‘Arrow’ Meets ‘Young Justice?’ Stephen Amell Teases Sportsmaster or Suicide Squad Wildcat Casting Rumors For Season 3 [SPOILERS]

True DC Comics fans will remember the Sportsmaster. The C-List villain rose up a few levels in fandom thanks to the hit animated series Young Justice. Now it looks like we might be seeing the Crusher cast on the CW’s Arrow. Stephen Amell recently Facebooked a picture of The Green Arrow standing in a boxing ring, leading people to believe that The Sportsmaster is on his way. Other believe that this image could be teasing the appearance of The Justice Society and Suicide Squad member,Ted Grant, A.K.A. Wildcat. Could we see either of these men in the Season 3 premiere?

Arrow has just begun filming it’s third season and Stephen Amell is already teasing some possible spoilers. The Arrow star recently posted a picture of the Emerald Archer standing in a boxing ring, sparking rumors that The Sportsmaster will make his long awaited appearance.

The Sportsmaster would certainly tie into the plot of Arrow very well. The villain has been a member of both the League of Assassins as well the Suicide Squad. In some continuities he also the father of Cheshire and Artemis. Artemis, A.K.A., The Tigress, is an expert archer with skills that rival The Green Arrows.

The other big guess is Justice Society member Wildcat. Wildcat, A.K.A, Ted Grant is an expert boxer turned vigilante, who in the comics trained Batman and The Black Canary. With Laurel reportedly taken up the mantle of The Black Canary this season, it stands to reason to that she could use some training. It is also worth noting that in the comics, Ted Grant has also been a member of the Suicide Squad, a team that Arrowverse has already featured on a few different occasions.
