Welcome to the new generation. Twitter and HBO Go are finally coming to the Xbox One. After months of suffering, X1 users can finally catch up their favorite premium channel shows from the convent all-in-one hub of the latest next gen platform. With the HBO Go app you can catch up on past seasons of your favorite shows, not available on HBO On Demand. Shows like Game of Thrones, The Leftovers, Boardwalk Empire and True Blood. You can also see what your favorite celebs are up to with the addition of the Twitter app.
It is about time! HBO Go is on its way to the Xbox One.Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Devices and Studios Yusuf Mehdi commented on the addition, telling Xbox.com’s Xbox Wire blog:
“Xbox fans are spending more time than ever on the console, spending more than five hours a day on Xbox One. Today as we announce new commitments from dozens of our partners, including deep integration with experiences like Twitter and Vine, we hit an important milestone in our journey to deliver unique experiences on Xbox. We’re thrilled to break new ground in social TV experiences like we’re doing with Twitter on Xbox One.”
Gone are the days of having to look at your phone, tablet or computer to see what is going in the Twittersphere. Twitter is also coming to the X1.
Twitter’s Vice President of Business Development and Platform, Jana Messerschmidt, also commented on the report:
“People turn to Twitter every day to enjoy and engage in the real-time conversations about their favorite TV shows. We’re enhancing that experience on the Xbox One with a unique Watch with Twitter integration. It will now be easier to discover what shows are trending in real-time on Twitter, tune-in and follow the conversation right from within the Xbox One interface. We are excited to work with the Xbox One team and continue to deliver unique entertainment experiences.”
