MTV ‘Teen Wolf’ New Episode Preview & Season 5 Renewal Rumors: TNT ‘Rizzoli and Isles’, & ‘Major Crimes’ Tax Credit Update & Daniel Sharman CW ‘Originals’ Casting [SPOILERS]

SPOILER ALERT: MTV’s Teen Wolf is all new tonight and it likes there will plenty more to go around. The show along with TNT’s Rizzoli and Isles, and Major Crimes are reportedly up for a California tax credit, meaning that the series may be renewed for Season 5. Meanwhile, Daniel Sharman has been cast for Season 2 of the CW hit series The Originals.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Muted,” reads:

“Scott's position on the lacrosse team is threatened. Meanwhile, Stilinski investigates a murder.”

The action continues next week in the all new, episode “The Benefactor.,” The official plot preview for next week’s showing, reads:

“Uninvited guests arrive at Lydia's lake house. Meanwhile, Derek tracks down a killer.”

Rumors that Teen Wolf has been renewed for a fifth season have been popping up. Variety recently reported that Teen Wolf is on the list receive a California tax credit, implying that the series been picked up for a Season 5.

The report details the credit, writing:

Teen Wolf, which relocated from Georgia in 2012, will receive a credit for nearly 25% of its $46.3 million in qualified costs. Most projects receive 20% allocations, but TV series that filmed all previous episodes outside California are eligible for a 25% credit. Teen Wolf topped a pair of Horizon series -- Rizzoli & Isles with $8.9 million and Pretty Little Liars with $8.4 million -- followed by Warner Bros.’ Major Crimes with $7.9 million.”

Meanwhile, former Teen Wolf actor, Daniel Sharman has found new life on The CW’s Originals. Sharman will join The Wire’s Sonja Sohn as a witch in the upcoming season of vampire/werewolf drama.

The new episode of Teen Wolf airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on MTV.
