WWE promptly fired Diva Emma after learning that she allegedly stole an iPad Case from a Wal-Mart in Hartford, Connecticut. Then the wrestling organization came to their senses and realized that they have employees who do far worse things on a regular basis. So, within two hours of her release, Emma was re-hired in an attempt to let the story die quickly and painlessly. No way is that going to happen. Maybe the Dancing Superstar from Melbourne, Australia can incorporate shoplifting into her gimmick.
Check out her moves:
While WWE says she will still face disciplinary action, at least she still has her job (via Cage Side Seats):
"Upon further evaluation, WWE has reinstated Tenille Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) but will take appropriate punitive action for her violation of the law."
It seems logical that WWE would quickly reverse their hasty decision. With wrestlers like Cameron and Jack Swagger receiving no punishment after getting DUI's, it seems a little harsh to fire someone for shoplifting, especially when Emma claims she didn't even do it on purpose (via Bleacher Report):
"In asking around, one of the beliefs as to why Emma was reinstated was that other talents have been arrested for far more serious crimes and were not let go, which could have left the door open for questions to WWE about why she was let go for a far lesser offense. A few wrestlers also believed that TMZ running a headline noting she was let go for a $22 item could have led to WWE re-thinking the release as it made them look bad."
Emma's lawyer claims that she didn't intentionally take the case without paying, but forgot to scan it at the self-checkout. True or false, she shouldn't have been fired by WWE for a comparatively minor offense. Anyway, welcome back, Emma.
