Proving it isn't who you know but how you know them, news has it that E.R. Hollywood icon George Clooney apparently has the Italian town of Laglio sewn up tight for his impending September wedding nuptials. It's been reported that the mayor of the town as insured the engaged Batman that there will be no crashers of gawkers, thanks to the town's police force. Even though the Clooney and his fiancé, London lawyer Amal Alamuddin, haven't official applied for any permits or reportedly even settled on where they will be hosting the event, mayor Roberto Pozzi says it is his duty to assure the Clooney's and his guests that they will all be safe from harm and molestation of outlaws/paparazzi.
Word has it that George Clooney are still mulling over where exactly they are going to be throwing their lavish wedding, but have narrowed it down to George's adopted hometown of Lake Cuomo in Italy.
According to an insider who spoke with Life & Style for their July 14 edition, the couple are still looking around the town for the perfect spot to host there hoedown:
"They checked out Hotel Villa D'Este ar Cernobbio, which is famous for organizing high-profile weddings...They also had a romantic dinner for two there."
"There was a gazebo put up recently, and a lot of maintenance men primping the grounds."
Wherever they have the wedding events it is going to be the safest place in town, according to the Italian mayor Roberto Pozzi.
The politician justified the two temporary laws enacted to keep one-lookers and ne'er do well way from the upstanding friends and families of Hollywood's A-listers (via July 14, In Touch):
"It's a question of traffic and security.
"We have to guarantee privacy and security for George Clooney and his guests."
Just as long as their wedding limo is a Batmobile, it should all still be pretty cool.
