MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: Move over Game of Thrones, True Blood Season 7 is just two episodes in and they have already made some pretty killer moves. Not only did Tara turn to goo in the cold open for the first season. Than it was revealed that Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) has the deadly Hep-V virus. Now it is starting to look like everyone’s favorite werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) might die this season. It looks like no one is safe.
Joe Manganiello was recently a guest on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, where he opened up about the many deaths ahead for this season
“I think it creates a sense of urgency and electricity to the season that anybody could go at any time, No one is safe.”
Where fans will surely be devastated to see Alcide go, Manganiello has certainly some issues with the character, as he told Digital Spy:
"I thought it was very one dimensional. There was a whole plotline that was cut from the show that dealt with Alcide and his father, played by Robert Patrick...We switched showrunners and one of the casualties was the loss of that storyline which I thought added balance, because without that storyline it came off as mindless yelling. Beating up a pack of girls? I'm a big guy, I just don't see how beating up a pack of 100lb girls is good. I just thought it was kind of crazy”
Manganiello went on to talk about returning the main cast for the final season:
"In my first couple of seasons on the show, I worked with the main cast. Then as time went on, I wound up on this satellite werewolf offshoot TV show, that was part of the show, but away from the main plot. I was happy with season seven because I got to come back to the main cast and work with those people again, and felt like I was part of the show."
