‘Tonight Show’ Roots Questlove Tweets ‘Sam & Cat’ Ariana Grande Philly Jam July 4th Cancellation Due To Family Problems After Macy Performance [UPDATE]

Sad news for Ariana Grande, her family and her friends. The “Problems" Singer was forced to cancel her appearance at the Philly Jam July 4th concert. Questlove, of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show band The Roots broke the news via Twitter. The Sam & Cat starlet has recently Instagramed some pics of her grandfather in a hospital bed, along with message that she was returning by her side. Some fans may be confused by the fact that saw Grande perform at the Macy July 4th concert on NBC. However, that performance was prerecorded.

While the majority of the free world are celebrating Independence day tonight, pop-star, Ariana Grande and family are having a rougher time. The Sam and Cat actress had to cancel a planned July 4th Philly Jam performance. Questlove of the Roots broke the news via Twitter, writing:

“Sending prayers & strength to @ArianaGrande's family. Due to unfortunate uncontrollable circumstances she has to cancel her #PhillyJam slot.”

Wawa Welcome America also announced the cancellation.

“Because of unforeseen personal circumstances, ArianaGrande will not be able to perform during the Philly 4th of July Jam tomorrow.”

Grande’s grandfather is currently in the hospital. The songstress tweeted about having to leave New York early on Thursday, July 3, writing:

“NY I'm sorry u saw less of me this trip. off to the g-parents in FL. they need me & now I gotta be there. love u & thank u for understanding”
