Some shocking details about the murder of New York rapper Notorious B.I.G have surfaced in a recent autopsy report. The document obtained by TMZ says that the night the celebrity was murder he received four gunshot wounds but only one proving to be fatal.
Christopher Wallace the rapper's given name was killed in Los Angeles in 1997 in a drive-by incident on Wilshire Blvd. The artist was sitting on the passenger side of a Chevy Suburban when the shot.
According to the report only the final shot was fatal.
The detailed report states that Gunshot #1 struck Wallace in the left forearm and traveled down to his wrist. Gunshot #2 struck Wallace in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder. Gunshot #3 struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh.
Gunshot #3 according to the report exited the thigh, "the projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration."
Gunshot #4 proved to be the fatal one when it went through Wallace's hip and travelled throughout his body hitting several vital organs before it exited his shoulder area. The report states that the fatal bullet reached the 24-year old's colon, liver, heart and the upper lobe of his left lung.
After the incident the rapper was taken to Cedars- Sinai Hospital where doctors performed an emergency thoracotomy but couldn't save him. Wallace was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m.
The report said that two bullets were found on the gurney travelling with Wallace to the hospital. Another was discovered at the hospital when the body was turned over after doctors had pronounced him dead.
The document also states that a toxicology test revealed Wallace had no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
