‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Matthew McConaughey Quits ‘Magic Mike XXL' After Oscars; Joe Manganiello Reveals Production Date? [VIDEO UPDATE]

It is starting to sound like Dazed and Confused burn-out Matthew McConaughey has let his Dallas Buyers Club Oscar win change him--and not for the better. According to Magic Mike co-star Gabriel Iglesias you shouldn't expect to see the Wedding Planner in Channing Tatum's sequel. The comedian claimed that between the money and the Oscar, McConaughey looked like he was quitting the franchise. Thankfully for the fans of True Blood and Joe Manganiello his werewolf aping has earned Alcide Herveaux neither an Academy Award nor the boat loads of cast the inevitably go along with it. Not only in the La Bare documentarian happy to return for another Magic installment, he can't wait for the fall production date to arrive.

Apparently once you get that Oscar under your belt, you can afford to tell people with successful movies that you don't want to be in their next blockbuster; or at least that is how the story goes with Magic Mike actor Matthew McConaughey and his Dallas Buyers Club golden statuette.

In an interview with The Dish, comedic actor Gabriel Iglesias, who starred alongside McConaughey in Channing Tatum's original film, claimed that although he was returning Killer Joe was going to take a pass (via IndieWire):

In

"Word has it that Matt's probably not going to be involved, because he's worth a lot of money now--that whole Oscar thing-- so, but yeah, I've signed on for part two."

True Blood's Joe Manganiello seems more than happy to take all of McConaughey's lines if he needs to, he is just ready to work (via Vibe):

It's going to happen this fall...I think they're going to announce it soon. It's crazy.

"I didn't think that would be my first franchise. I never thought that would ever be the direction of my career. But that said, it's just proof that I don't know best, all the time."

At least Manganiello knows where and when to show-up, which is more than could be said for Matthew.
