For cat daddy dancing Instagram feet supermodel Kate Upton, lucky in love usually means her mate is going to be unlucky at life. Or at least that is the theory being perpetuated right now. Rumor has it that all a promising athlete has to do is date the most beautiful woman in the world to have their professional careers flat-line. Now that Katie is reportedly dating Justin Verlander, pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, his "DL" qualifying injury is being blamed on the Sports Illustrated topless-bikini heart-stopper.
Word has it that if Kate Upton and Tigers' MLB pitcher Justin Verlander aren't dating again, you sure couldn't tell it byu looking at them during their Bahama vacation island getaway.
An eyewitness who spoke to Us Weekly told the publication that they seemed to be pretty intimate for all the touching and feeling that went on over dinner:
"We spotted them...sitting on the same side of the table...looking very cozy having dinner at the restaurant Mahogany House near Lyford Cay."
Spending even one evening having dinner with a beauty like Kate Upton is more than most man would dare to hope for in the lives, but according to some sports fans, sleeping with Kate Upton is the begging of the end.
That seems to be Jonathan Lehman position anyways; the sports writer for the New York Post apparently feels that taking a romantic getaway with Upton is about the worst thing in the world a promising athlete could ever do (via NESN):
If Verlander has been jinxed-- or distracted, more likely-- into the worst stretch of his career by girlfriend Kate Upton, it would not be the first time an athlete had encountered a major slump around the time he was romantically linked with the swimsuit pin-up.
"Call it the Kate Upton Effect. In addition to Verlander, the supermodel's 'victims' may include former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and NBA All-Star Blake Griffin."
Even if that insanity was true...if it cost those fellows their souls as well as their careers, one could still make a strong argument that is was definitely worth it.
