Word has it that net everyone is sold on George Clooney's commitment to his brand new fiancé Amal Alamuddin, despite his public claims of devotion.
Those on the inside know however something most don't, however, George sees Amal as his key to legitimacy and a political future.
According to Us Weekly Clooney has his eye on the highest office in California as a means to get elected to the highest house in the land, the United States Senate:
"One pal predicts that the actor--who recently wrote an op-ed on the crises in Sudan for Vice--will take the first step in 2018 with a run for California's governorship."
"George has been talking to politicians about running for office for years...He wants to be taken seriously.
"George has said his ultimate goal is to become a U.S. senator, but he knows he would have to hold a position like governor first.
"He has good ideas that he wants to implement...He's ready for a change, so a 2018 run is very plausible."
Oh man...does this mean we are never going to get to see Ocean's 14, because that could have a real impact on this country.
