Former WWE announcer Jim Ross has a bold prediction for this year's Summer Slam Pay-Per-View. Ross thinks that at Summer Slam Brock Lesner will become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Ross, who had a scare earlier this month after being hospitalized for stroke-like symptoms, turned out to be alright although it was discovered that he had suffered an undetected mild stroke in the past.
Though he no longer works for the company, Jim Ross still follows WWE as a professional analyst and continues to offer insight through blogs podcasts and interviews.
In one recent interview Ross claimed that the best move WWE can make this year is to have Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship at Summer Slam this year (via Daily DDT):
"If some fans feel that this may be too predictable, then perhaps some are over thinking a pro wrestling storyline that makes sense. Making sense when executing a story line is much more important than doing the unpredictably stupid moves to just 'surprise' he audience. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pro wrestling surprise as much as the next fan, but NOT at the expense of doing the right thing."
We're all glad that JR is still going strong- he had a big scare a few weeks ago when he complained to his wife he didn't feel well. He was rushed to the hospital, exhibiting "stroke-like symptoms" (via Cage Side Seats):
"It wasn't all good news, however. According to TMZ, Ross was told by his doctors that he had suffered a 'minor stroke' at some point and he was just never aware of it.
"With that said, he's been checked out, evaluated, and is back home resting while gearing up to continue his successful podcast and road show. All's well that ends well."
