TNT’s Perception is all new tonight with the second episode of it’s third season. The hit series stars Will and Grace’s Eric McCormack as a paranoid schizophrenic who uses his disorder to help the F.B.I. McCormack recently previewed some of what is ahead for the new season.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Painless,” reads:
“A prosecutor mysteriously drops dead in the courtroom, triggering an investigation by Pierce and Moretti. Meanwhile, Moretti and Donnie make important life decisions.”
The show’s star Eric McCormack recently spoke to TV Line about some of what is store for this new season:
“We’ve always had these kind of moments that love where the audience, or the 'shippers' if you will, get a real sense of these two people that are dancing around an elephant in the room… and they dance apart again. And of course you have Donnie [Scott Wolf]. This season Donnie and [Kate] will be getting back together, closer and closer, which of course is not good news for Pierce. The fact that she is heading back down the road that she was at, towards her ex-husband, is also something that lights Pierce’s fire.”
He also went on to add:
“There’s a couple of really fun episodes that take place in the art world, where Pierce has a fling. But ultimately those moments take a big toll on him. Revealing himself to people is hard, which is why the depth of the relationship he has with Kate starts to become so much more important.”
The all new episode of Perception airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on TNT following an all new episode of Rizzoli and Isles.
