When it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Kevin Smith has a bit of a inside track. The writer/director is super friends with Batman Ben Affleck. Recently, Smith opened up about the casting of Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa as Justice League founding member Aquaman.
Kevin Smith has taken to his podcast Hollywood Babble-On to talk about Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa’s recent casting as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice [VIA Comicbook.com] :
“Well, I think most people of course when they think of f****** Aquaman, they think of the traditional cartoon version, but the current version or incarnation is he’s a badass king of the seven seas, a warlord to some degree. So I could see where they would get away with casting this dude.”
He went on to add that Jason Momoa will be the perfect man to help change Aquaman’s corny image, with our without blond hair:
“Yeah, I’d buy it. Will they blonde his hair, you think? It’s awesome. Think about it dude, they use to make fun of Aquaman all the time. Aquaman, he only talks to f****** fishes. F****** say that to that dude’s face.”
