Host of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," Brooke Burke-Charvet is set to undergo surgery in an effort to battle her thyroid cancer and is said to be in high spirits despite the ailment, ENews reports.
The 41-year-old took to social media sites Facebook and Twitter to talk about her feelings about what she is through.
"What a crazy time, but I am surrounded with love and support and that really makes a world of difference. I am touched and appreciative to all of you for sharing your positive wishes for my surgery, and for sharing many of your personal thyroid experiences," she wrote on her Facebook page. "I really do read your comments and they all mean a lot to me. I'm getting ready this week for my surgery and am planning on a speedy recovery."
According to USWeekly, the celeb later tweeted "count down 2 my surgery now... I'm going nuts thinking about laying around 4 my recovery. Not good at that! grateful every day for my health," she said Monday.
Burke-Charvet told the world about the diagnosis in November, but has not revealed any details about her surgery. Burke-Charvet made a blog posting for ModernMom and continued to keep a positive vibe in light of her situation.
"I'm going to make a positive out of this negative thing. I am going to be a really good patient and I am going to do everything I need to do," she said. "Doctors say that this is a 'good kind of cancer to have.' That sounds so crazy. But my doctor did tell me that this is a happily ever after ending kind of thing."
She married actor David Charvet in 2011. The couple has two daugthers.
