There has been another update in the murder trial of Michael Jace, who is accused of killing his own wife. This week the former Shield actor plead not guilty, after a 911 call related to the homicide was released.
It's a sad tale that just keeps getting stranger. Michael Jace, who has been struggling with finances for years now, recently shocked the world with his plea in court Wednesday.
Despite 911 reportedly receiving a call from Jace claiming that he shot his wife multiple times, the actor plead not guilty to the charges, as LA Times reports:
"Michael Jace...pleaded not guilty Wednesday to shooting his wife to death in May...A protective order was issued for his two children during the arraignment Wednesday, preventing Jace from contacting them except through his attorneys. Charged with one count of murder, he remained in custody in lieu of $2-million bail."
This caught many by surprise, considering Michael Jace's father-in-law called 9-1-1 shortly after the murder, claiming that Michael admitted to the murder. In fact, the call was made public.
You can listen to the 9-1-1 call over at our friends TMZ. The gossip site also provided a description of the call, telling readers:
"TMZ has obtained a 911 call made by Michael Jace's father-in-law ... who told dispatchers Jace texted him to say he had just shot his wife April...Jace admitted to shooting his wife last month ... in front of his two kids. The exact motive is still unclear, though we previously reported Jace was having money problems."
