Tracy Morgan Health Update: Moved To Rehab After Wal-Mart Truck Crash and Leg Amputation Rumors

Earlier in the month comedian Tracy Morgan was severely injured when a Wal-Mart tractor-trailer truck crashed into his limo-bus on the New Jersey turnpike. The crash tragically took the life of Morgan’s friend and writer James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. Now, there is some good news for Morgan. After facing rumors that he lost his leg in the accident, Morgan is starting to back on his feet (both of them) and is being moved into a rehab facility.

After the accident, Morgan underwent surgery on his leg, prompting rumors that the he was going to lose his leg. Morgan fiance Megan Wollover had his publicist Lewis Kay, address these rumors last week, via another press statement:

"The concern for his well-being has been overwhelming, but Megan [Morgan’s fiance] is respectfully asking that the media await official word through these channels before speculating (mostly inaccurately) on his condition. Rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated.”

Morgan’s is a lot happier than the last, as Kay states:

“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement. His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.

“Also, Jeff Millea’s family shared that he has been upgraded to fair condition as well.”

Now Morgan has been moved to a rehab facility, as Kay recently stated:

"Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks. While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go."
