The winner of last week’s massive Mega Millions lottery drawing has finally came forward. Check the report below to see who won and for the amount of this weekend’s new game before you buy your tickets.

The new Mega Millions lottery total for this weekend’s game are $20 million.

The Mega Millions website is now reporting on last week’s massive winner:

“May 22, 2014 –Walt Disney World and Miami better be ready, because Michigan’s latest millionaire is headed to the Sunshine State for a visit.

“Cynthia Posey, of Kentwood, claimed her Mega Millions prize of $1 million at the Michigan Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing today. She matched the first five numbers – 10-40-63-64-69 – in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing with a ticket she bought at the Mother Hubbard Party Store in Kentwood.

“Posey learned she won the big prize after checking her ticket with the Lottery’s mobile app. She was shocked to see she had matched the five numbers and had to check her ticket a few times before calling a friend to share the good news.

“With her winnings, the 61-year-old Posey plans to purchase a new home and car, plus take a trip to Walt Disney World and Miami, Florida, to spend time with her grandchildren.”

The Mega Millions lotto also warns players against scams, reporting:

“‘You’ve won the lottery!’ It’s something that many people want to hear. But sometimes those words come from scammers who are trying to steal your money. Some of those scammers have falsely identified themselves as being affiliated with Mega Millions.

“The scams often target older people and have been known to wipe out victims’ retirement savings.

“The scams take many forms and the scammers use many tricks. In most cases, the criminals e-mail or call to tell intended victims they have won a large prize. They might identify themselves as being with Mega Millions or another legitimate lottery, even though Mega Millions is a game, not an organization. “
