Kevin Love Headed For Boston? Trade Rumors After Timberwolves Star Free Agent Celtics, Bulls, Warriors Bid [TWITTER]

Rumor has it that Boston might be the new home of Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love. With one year left on his contract Love told the T-Wolves that he either wants a new team behind him or he's going to go to a new team when he becomes eligible for free agency next year. What that essentially means is most likely Minnesota will trade him away this summer before they lose him outright. The only question is where. With many teams expressing interest including the Bulls, Golden State Warriors and even the Lakers, at least one expert feels the Boston Celtics are the front runners.

Last month, the dreaded mechanism that is the NBA personnel shuffle started in earnest when Minnesota power forward Kevin Love told his team to fish or cut bait (via ESPN):

"Kevin Love has made it clear to the Timberwolves that he intends to become an unrestricted free agent after next season and has no interest in a contract extension to stay in Minnesota, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

"Although sources say Love has stopped short of demanding a trade, his position could effectively force the Timberwolves to deal the All-Star forward before next season -- or before the trade deadline in February 2015 at the latest -- if they hope to dodge the risk of losing him without compensation."

NBA analyst and editor-in-chief of Grantland.com announced on Twitter Wednesday that in his expert opinion Boston is in the front running to acquire Love through deductive reasoning (via Boston.com):

"If TWolves trade Love, Celts are heavy favs to get him now. GS won't discuss Klay T. + Bulls are focused on Melo. Boston trumps anyone else."
