Storybrooke is getting bigger and bigger. Season 4 of ABC’s fairy tale drama Once Upon A Time is almost here and with it come a few new friends. Disney is bringing out the big guns this season with a major crossover with their new Snow Queen adaptation, Frozen. That is not all, The Knave of Hearts Michael Socha has survived the cancellation of the Once upon A Time spin-off Wonderland and is now on his way to the parent series.
Once Upon A Time executive producer Adam Horowitz recently spoke to E! Online about getting Disney to let them use the Frozen characters:
“It felt like it was in the wheelhouse of what we wanted for the show and we were very excited about it, and we pitched the idea to the studio network and we were very fortunate that they gave us the go-ahead...So there's a lot of trust all around that we need to live up to, we know that this is a beloved characters and a beloved movie. My five-year-old daughter would be the first one to raise the pitchfork. So you know we're very excited and humbled by the opportunity.”
The Frozen cast are not the only ones who are showing up in Storybrooke. Once Upon A Time in Wonderland star Michael Socha will be reprising his role as Will “The Knave” Scarlet on the parent series.
TV Line’s Ask Ausiello column recently spoke with Horowitz about Socha’s role in the show:
“It’s too early for us to tease, but we think Michael is a fabulous actor and we have a way for him to fit into our group that’s fun. He’ll bring a new vibe and color to the show.”
