SPOILER ALERT: This past fall we all saw True Blood star Stephen Moyer shooting from the mountain tops in NBC’s Live Performance of The Sound of Music. Now it looks like we might be getting a True Blood musical. Stephen Moyer also recently spoke up about Bill and Sookie hooking up in Season 7.
True Blood composer Nathan Barr recently spoke to The Associated Press about giving True Blood the musical treatment:
"This was something that I pitched to HBO and (show creator) Alan Ball."
He went on to add the musical would get back to the heart of the series:
"I think we're really going to try to return to the roots of the show...There's no guarantees. But I think the direction we're heading in is really exciting."
However, do not expect Bill and Sookie to be getting back together. In a previous interview with TV Line, Moyer spoke about Bill’s future with Sookie:
“I don't know whether they can be, given everything that's happened between them. What Bill did was open up something inside her that she had never had before. He was the key to a new world for her. And maybe that's all he was supposed to be--a window into that world. I don't think that there is a right or wrong answer. I think a bunch of people would be happy if that was the story and a bunch of people would be pissed off if that was the story. I don't read that s**t, so I don't care, ultimately. All I want to do is do the show and have fun doing it.”
True Blood returns for it’s seventh and final season this Sunday, June 22 on HBO.
