Thunder Russell Westbrook Teammates Wearing His Underwear? Critics Slam Russ Despite Big Stats

Sunday brought the debut of Oklahoma City Star Russell Westbrook's new clothing line Westbrook XO in an exclusive partnership with Barney's in New York. And his teammates are super excited to be wearing his underwear. But will critics dampen his mood during this business triumph? It seems that some feel that despite his big stats, he is not doing enough for the Thunder.

The consistently stylish Russell Westbrook is notable for his fashion forward look off of the court. And to bring some of that style he is rolling out a new sportswear and accessory collection exclusively at Barney's (via TMZ):

"Of course, R.W.'s talking about his brand new undie line that's about to drop on Father's Day -- and while leaving a movie theater in L.A. last night, he told us his whole team is gettin' hooked up with free drawers (which should make Kevin Durant happy).

"As we previously reported, Russell's got a deal with Kings and Jaxs for his own line of undies called 'Why Not?' Russ started as a model for the brand before branching out with his own design."

Of course his business acumen and basketball talent are clearly up there, but is he great? Is he an elite player? Those are the questions being asked by Chris Itz who, following OKC's Western Conference Finals loss to the Spurs, put Westbrook on notice. Itz claims that despite impressive numbers and Russ's WOW factor, he just doesn't have that killer instinct to win big games (via Pounding the Rock):

"There's no doubt that Westbrook has the potential and the talent to be a truly great basketball player. Sometimes he puts it all together for a game and those are the ones that stand out. His traditional box score numbers are incredible, I get that part... I just think that when you look a deeper, it's obvious that our eyes have lied to us about how good he is. Or maybe it's just me."
