The company man is back. HRG, A.K.A. Horn Rimmed Glasses, A.K.A. Noah Bennett has been reported to be the first former cast member to sign up for the new reboot series Heroes: Reborn. However, Milo Ventimiglia, Zachary Quinto, ALi Larter don’t seem to be up for rebirth.
President of NBC Entertainment,Jennifer Salke, recently announced that Heroes will be Reborn in a limited series 2015 reboot, telling reporters:
"The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening. Shows with that kind of resonance don't come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We're thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won't rule out the possibility of some of the show's original cast members popping back in."
After the announcement was made severl of the former series stars have opened up about their possible involvement in new reboot.
Original series star Milo Ventimiglia, A.K.A Peter Petrelli, has some reservations about the new show. Ventimiglia recently spoke to MTV about the new show, stating:
“I think it’s going to be hard to recapture what we had when the show was out, to be very honest. I’ve had a lot of fans running up to me, very excited. And I think the expectation is high--meaning people want, and are expecting, that the show is going to pick up right where it left off.”
Ali Larter has also expressed doubt about the show, telling fans at Wondercon:
"When I saw that, I was like, 'Wow! Great!' I'm super happy for [creator Tim Kring], and if that's what he wants to do I think that's fantastic.I haven't talked to the rest of the cast. I don't even think it's written yet, so I don't even know what they're going to do with it. I just know that my face was splashed all over, and I got about a thousand calls from it...It was an amazing time in my life. The first season of the show will forever be one of the best times I've ever had. It was just a really special time. For that, I hope that it work out well for them, and I wish them only the best."
It has now been reported that Jack Coleman, A.K.A. Noah Bennet has signed on for the reboot.
