Russell Wilson Divorce Update: Seattle QB Was A Biter? New Contract Details And Christian Faith [VIDEO]

Russell Wilson has been very forthcoming about his Christian faith. It has been a huge part of his public persona over his first two years in the NFL, and the Seattle QB has made it clear that he is leaning on his faith during his troubling divorce. But did you know that when he was young Wilson was a biter? The Super Bowl champ has admitted that when he was young he used to get into fights and bite other kids. Hopefully that won't affect the upcoming new updated contract details as the QB will be looking for a new deal in 2015.

According to an interview with Wilson last year his relationship with Christ literally transformed everything about him. He says he used to be a bully, but when he found Jesus everything around him came into focus (via CBS Seattle):

"'I had a dream that my dad passed away and that Jesus came into the room and he was basically knocking on my door, saying, "Hey, you need to find out more about me"... 'So that Sunday morning I ended up going to church and that's when I got saved.'

"Wilson also explained in the video that he was a 'bad kid' and that his Christian faith helped him to mature.

"'I think that got me through a lot of adversity ... because I used to beat up kids and bite kids and do stuff all the time.'"

Despite his faith the NFL favors results. Fortunately for Wilson, however, he has produced results. With back-to-back playoff appearances and a Super Bowl victory in his first two seasons, experts believe Wilson should have no trouble securing $20 Million a year.

That would dwarf the new deal just signed by buddy Colin Kaepernick of the 49ers (via ESPN):

"What Kaepernick clearly realized is the same thing his peers should see in the coming years: Being paid as an elite quarterback doesn't actually make you one. It takes years of hard work, the constant tutelage of smart coaches and the good fortune to have a talented supporting cast around you."

With Wilson already off to a great start on the way to becoming an elite quarterback there's no telling what he might accomplish in the next few years. Just keep those chompers hid, DangerRuss!
