Handicapped Instagram Bully Shaq Sells Florida Home for $10? Retired Superstar Comments On Real Estate Scandal

Shaq is back in the news again- this time for a real estate scandal. Not so much a scandal as a grossly incompetent interpretation of events by the media. Did the NBA legend sell his suburban Florida home for $10? Not remotely. But the retired superstar did make a small profit on the sale. That must be comforting to O'Neal, who has spent most of this spring dodging questions about his bullying Instagram post back in April when he mocked a handicapped fan's selfie.

Initial reports of suspicious real estate transactions were a little premature. Shaq himself even expressed confusion when he read that he had sold a house for $10. Shaq actually netted about $5,000 on the deal. Apparently someone didn't read the fine print (via Today.com):

"Shaq did pay $10 for something in the deal, and perhaps that's where the confusion set in. According to the county appraisal's office, Shaq, like anyone, has to pay a $10 recording fee."

Another thing that Shaq seems to be confused about lately is bullying. In April Shaq found himself in hot water when he thought he made a funny on social media (via Classicalite):

"Last week NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal went on Instagram and posted a picture of himself side by side with 23 year-old Madison Heights Michigan native Jahmel Binion, mocking his pose. Binion, who has ectodermal dysplasia, has been teased all his life. But when Shaq and several others made the joke for all the world to see, Binion spoke up about it...

"After realizing that no one else was laughing (except for a few other bone-headed public figures) Shaq reached out to apologize, but most say it was too little too late."

Here's hoping that Shaq can limit his time in the media to basketball analysis and endorsements for Icy Hot.
