Many consumers looking to purchase the very high in demand Nexus 4 today were again disappointed when the smartphone was sold out in mere moments according to cnet.com.
LG's Nexus 4 were first available to shoppers on Nov. 13 on in the U.S. and U.K. but both nation's reported a shortage of the hardware in a matter of an hour leaving potential buyers disgruntled.
On that day one potential online buyer said via his Twitter. "Google Play store is a joke - puts 2 nexus 4 in basket, then none, then sold out."
Potential buyers online were equally frustrated as the device is out of stock and were greeted with a "Notify me!" button instead of a purchase option.
It has been a near two week wait for a fresh batch of Nexus 4s and today 9 a.m. PT noon ET the phones were on sale but by 1 p.m. PT the device had already vanished.
Google Play store says heavy traffic has been an issue for them making it hard for them to keep up with the demand.
What makes the Nexus 4 such a prized item is its price starting at $299 in the U.S. for the 8GB.The device will have a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB RAM,8 GB storage and boast a 4.7-inch 1280x768 display and carry an 8 megapixel camera at the back.
The new Google product will utilize Android 4.2 also known as Jelly Bean and like the new tablet Nexus 10 will use Miracast which allows multimedia interface which means one can place photos, videos and games to a HDTV.
