The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new hour of 24, titled “Day 9: 5:00 PM-6:00 PM.”

The ratings for the series had been dropping, however, last week’s all new episode brought the numbers back up from 5.71 to a 6.18.
24: Live Another Day helped to open up the door to for other shows to receive limited series reboots. Shortly before the new season of 24 aired, NBC announced that Heroes was being reborn.
President of NBC Entertainment,Jennifer Salke, made the announcement about the show's return months ago, telling reporters:
"The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening. Shows with that kind of resonance don't come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We're thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won't rule out the possibility of some of the show's original cast members popping back in."
However, original series star Milo Ventimiglia, A.K.A Peter Petrelli, has some reservations about the new show. Ventimiglia recently spoke to MTV about the new show, stating:
“I think it’s going to be hard to recapture what we had when the show was out, to be very honest. I’ve had a lot of fans running up to me, very excited. And I think the expectation is high--meaning people want, and are expecting, that the show is going to pick up right where it left off.”
