It looks like Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may not be headed towards divorce after all. Miranda recently addressed rumors that she and Blake were going to breakup, as well as allegations that her recent weight loss was due to plastic surgery. This latest report comes after Miranda released her new 2014 music album, Platinum.
Thing's just keep getting better for Miranda Lambert, despite a year of negative tabloid reports. The singer was in rare form Wednesday, when she performed at the CMT Music Awards, as CMT reports:
"With all the flames you'd expect, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood delivered a scorching duet of 'Something Bad' at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night (June 4) in Nashville. Lambert is having a banner week already. On Tuesday, she released her newest album, Platinum. She also picked up a CMT Music Award in the female video category for 'Automatic,' and she'll perform at LP Field on Friday night as part of the CMA Music Festival."
These latest accomplishments come after months of tabloid reports that she and her husband, the handsome Blake Shelton, were going through a secret divorce. One source even told OK! that the two were splitting due to Blake's excessive drinking:
One source who spoke to OK! claims that Miranda is fed up with Blake's behavior:
"Miranda told Blake that he's almost 40 years old [he turns 38 in June] and needs to stop with his all-night frat-boy lifestyle. Miranda finally declared that he needs to either grow and mature with her, or she's leaving."
Turns out that Miranda is also sick of drinking, herself. The same insider goes on to reveal that:
"Losing weight has really helped Miranda grow spiritually. She feels like a whole new person. She's realized that she feels much better without staying up all night and drinking alcohol."
