According to the IRS, MTV's "good" Teen Mom, Maci Cookout, is in some terribly hot water with the United Stated Internal Revenue Service, who are demanding that the single mother pay the more than $78K that she owes from her 2011 salaries. Insiders say that the mother to 5-year-old Bently sole income comes from promoting companies and products on Twitter, and she really has no intention of paying the bill with money that she doesn't have. To make matter even worse, a sizable part of her current budget is said to go towards expensive flights to see her Motocross boyfriend Taylor McKinney. Dating a man from Dallas is said to come at a high cost for the Tennessean, but that should change pretty soon, as rumor has it Taye Taye is planning to move east to be with his girlfriend, and perhaps soon-to-be fiancé.
Teen Mom Taylor McKinney was paid as an outside contractor by MTV for her participation on the series that made her famous, but that means that she would be in charge of paying her own taxes to the Federal government at the end of the year--just as any logical person would expect.
According to the documents obtained by In Touch, Maci apparently knew as much about paying her taxes as she did about birth control back in 2011--the IRS claims that Bookout owes them $78,308 in back taxes.
An insider told the publication that Maci has known about it for quite a while, but just can't seem to take the fact that she owes the government the equivalent of a new Mercedes-Benz seriously:
"She's acting like nothing is wrong.
"She's in denial...Pretending to know nothing about it.
"She's been telling people that she's working on paying it back, but very little progress has been made.
"She's gotten herself into a lot of trouble...[and] she needs to find a way to pay back this money."
The friend went on to explain that a good bit of Maci's money goes towards paying for flights back and forth to Dallas to see her boyfriend Taylor McKinney, but those funds should be freed up pretty soon:
"Luckily, Taylor is planning to move to Tennessee to live with Maci very soon, which will be good because it'll take some of the financial load off of her."
Looks like there is a little Wesley Snipes inside of every star, no matter how small or irrelevant.
